Morfa Nefyn and the Llŷn Peninsula
Village spirit is
still clear to see in Morfa Nefyn, this seaside community backs it's
long sandy bay with the idyllic fishing hamlet of Porth Dinllaen at
the western end. There is a shop just down the road and the fish and
chip shop is right next door, ideal if you want to get something quick
to eat when you arrive.

The neighbouring town
of Nefyn is slightly larger with a few shops and a bank. However, for
a wide range of shopping facilities and other services, Pwllheli is
the best place. Pwllheli is the unofficial capital town of the Llŷn
Peninsula and is only seven miles away down a fairly straight road
which runs directly from the north coast (at Morfa Nefyn), to Pwllheli
on the south. This also allows easy access to other well known holiday
resorts like Abersoch, Llanbedrog as well as Criccieth and Porthmadog
to the south east.
Over a quarter of the
land surface area of the peninsula is designated an Area of
Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), and it really isn't hard to see
why. The long stretches of sand, small coves, rocky cliffs, small
harbours, volcanic hills, rolling countryside and relaxed way of life
all add up to make the Llŷn Peninsula the truly unique place it is!

What's more, if all
that isn't enough for you, we are within easy reach of the Snowdonia
Mountains, the mighty castle at Caernarfon as well as Anglesey and
beyond.
