Location
The Llŷn Peninsula stretches out from the
majestic mountains of Snowdonia into the Irish Sea off Northwest
Wales. Llŷn has a microclimate of it's own, often enjoying
better weather than many other parts of Wales plus the Gulf
Stream brings with it warmer sea temperatures and few or no
frosts in the winter.
The coast and hills form the Llŷn Area of Outstanding Natural
Beauty, with nearly 100 miles of coastline within a 30 minute
drive of the park, you're never short of a new beach or cove to
explore. The hills inland rise steeply from the otherwise
rolling landscape and offer fantastic views of the peninsula.
The coastal resorts of Pwllheli, Abersoch, Nefyn, Aberdaron,
Criccieth and Porthmadog are all within easy reach, as is
Snowdonia with it's mountains and other attractions to the east. |
