How Does the Laser Work?
The laser is non-surgical and so does not cut or burn. The light
it produces is at the optimum wavelength to stimulate healing
and treat the damaged tissue, and so encourages the body to heal
itself. It reduces pain by increasing the levels of endorphin,
the natural chemical in the body that relieves pain and stress.
Because of this many patients experience a feeling of well-being
after the treatment has finished.
What Happens During A Treatment?
The therapist will discuss in detail your condition, including
details about how it is caused, when it occurred, what treatment
has already been undertaken and level of pain or discomfort. The
therapist will also check that there is no reason why you should
not be treated, including pregnancy, epilepsy, photo-sensitivity
and cancer.
How Long is the Course?
Each treatment will take approximately one hour. As laser
treatment is 2.5 times more effective than other massage
therapies it is an efficient way of achieving relief from a
condition. The length of the course will depend on the length of
time you have been suffering from the condition and it's
severity.
