Walking Holidays: Multiple Activity
|
Llŷn is indeed a
world apart. So different in atmosphere, climate and culture
that is guaranteed to entrance all who visit. Every year more
people discover the unique beauty and peace of this very special
part of Wales, where Europe’s oldest language still thrives in
daily use. The peninsula is blessed with such natural beauty,
unique habitats for wild flowers and indigenous wildlife. Local
farmers continue as guardians of the land, farming in harmony
with the environment, whilst hedgerows are still abound with
honeysuckle, rosehips and a abundance of wildlife.

The Llŷn has the most picturesque coastline with sandy beaches,
rocky cliffs and the most beautiful coves. The history and
heritage of the Llŷn is plentiful with some of the most
attractive tiny churches in Wales and well’s that were important
watering places for the pilgrims. Also you’ll find many castles
and regency houses, with many open to the public.
The Llŷn is a place of myths and legend. Prehistoric man settled
here, celtic chieftains constructed hill forts with many still
visible today. Roman invaders built roads and forts. Not
forgetting the great Welsh statesman and Prime Minister, David
Lloyd George is remembered at a museum in his home village on
