Tanrhiw, 1 Railway Terrace, Criccieth is a small 2 bed roomed end terrace cottage, adjacent to the railway crossing in the centre of the town. Built in approximately 1869, of an unusual shape due to being so close to the railway line! The property briefly comprises 2 bedrooms, lounge with dining area, compact kitchen, bathroom and second toilet (with wash basin). It is only a few minutes to the beach.As the address implies, the cottage is very close to the railway, this is a single line terminating at Pwllheli, on average, some 12 trains pass through Criccieth each day, the last being before 11pm.

In brief the first floor of the cottage has a bathroom with full bath, separate shower, toilet and washbasin, there is a heated towel rail and extractor fan. There is further small room with toilet and washbasin.

The main bedroom has a double bed with Edwardian bedroom furniture; a colour television is also in this room. The second bedroom has a single bed and plain wardrobe and chest of drawers. The bed has a pull out guest bed underneath, the beds can be placed together to make a Queen bed but room would be a little tight! Heating for both bedrooms is by way of very efficient storage radiators. There are views of the castle from both bedrooms.

Downstairs the lounge has a two sofas giving seating for four and there is a colour television with video and some additional 'Freeview' channels. The dining area has an oak dining table plus chairs, sideboard and stereo. Heating again is by storage radiators; there is also a small Victorian fireplace. There are views of the castle from the ground floor windows.

The kitchen, although small, is modern and well equipped, there is a microwave, fridge/freezer and cooking is by way of a dual fuel range cooker. There is a small utility room that houses the gas boiler (for hot water), washer/drier and table top dishwasher. There is also a small storage room.

There is presently no parking at the property but ‘pot luck’ parking is available at no charge either directly opposite the cottage or ‘on street’ nearby.

The accommodation is ideal for a family of 2 adults plus 2 children, it would however (at a pinch!) accommodate 4 adults. The cottage is fully equipped but please bring your own quilt covers and towels.
