Criccieth

Tanrhiw is located at the centre of Criccieth, within easy walking distance of the shops, places to eat, takeaways, the castle, the town's two beaches and the railway station. The railway line runs behind the cottage, but only about twelve trains pass each day with the last before 11pm in the evening.

Criccieth is often described as "the pearl of Wales on the shores of Snowdonia" - and they're not wrong! The view as you enter the town on the A497 from Porthmadog has been said to rival views over Naples. All very high accolades for a resort which enjoys a mild climate and still retains a strong Welsh charm too!

The town is often very successful in the yearly Britain in Bloom competitions and the Criccieth Festival and visiting fairs are growing in popularity.

Criccieth has all you need for a relaxing holiday by the sea, however if you want to venture further afield, the stunning Llŷn Peninsula offers plenty of places to go for a day out, click here>>
